Frequently Asked Questions

Outlined below are questions frequently asked by our customers concerning our products, as well as some Tips on lawn and yard maintenance.

If I am interested in getting a sprinkler system or landscaping installed, how do I know the cost?

Call and schedule an appointment for a free estimate. We do not charge you for us to come out and perform an assesment. Your appointment will be informative and give you a greater understanding of your lawn and landscape's needs.

Are my water bills going to be higher with a sprinkler system?

Quite the contrary! Having a sprinkler system installed is the best way to have more control over your water bill and add value to your home. The greatest waste of water comes from applying too much, too often - much of the water is never absorbed. With an irrigation system, you can customize how much water is used and when it is used.

Once my system is installed, how do I know how to use it?

After your new sprinkler system has been installed, we will provide a tutorial on how to set your timer and suggest to you the best settings for your lawn's specific needs.

Will an automatic sprinkler system water as well as I do when watering by hand?

An automatic sprinkler system will do a much better job. A professionally designed sprinkler system will deliver exactly the right amount of water to the specific areas in your lawn and garden.

When is the best time to water my lawn?

Water between 3am and 9am when the sun is low, winds are calm, and temperatures are cool. Mid-day watering is much less efficient because of water loss due to evaporation and windy conditions during the day. Watering in the evening isn't a good idea either because leaves can remain wet overnight -- an open invitation for fungus to grow. By watering in the morning, leaves have a chance to dry out during the day. Different plants need different amounts of water. Out trained professionals will divide your yard and landscape areas into seperate irrigation zones so grass can be watered sperately and more frequently than groundcovers, shrubs, and trees. We also incorporate sprinkler and drip irrigation to achieve the most efficient use of groundwater.
